ADL FASHION WEEK RETURNS THIS OCTOBER WITH SOUTH AUSTRALIAN ICONS THE FACE OF ITS CAMPAIGNS

One of South Australia’s most anticipated events, ADL Fashion Week, is set to return this October. Running from Friday, 11 until Sunday, 13 October, the festival debuts two brand new campaigns which capture the essence of the city’s style, people, cultural landmarks and heritage.

This year, Adelaide’s premier fashion festival will celebrate the diverse range and scope of the state’s fashion, beauty, arts, food, and creative industries through these exciting campaigns.

The Adelaide Economic Development Agency (AEDA) Executive Manager, Marketing and Tourism, Michael Rossi, says the ‘Sense of Place’ campaign focuses on the places that make Adelaide iconic.

“Seamlessly integrating fashion with the landmarks that form the beating heart of our city, ADL Fashion Week is a celebration of who we are, where we have been, and the connection between place and art,” says Michael.

“From the elegant masterpieces in the Art Gallery of South Australia, to the iconic landmarks of Rundle Mall, to the beauty of the Adelaide Botanic Gardens – the energy of each city location used serves as a backdrop for showcasing the diverse and dynamic fashion culture of Adelaide.”

The ‘Icons Only’ campaign pays homage to the icons of Adelaide – individuals who have contributed to the rich tapestry of both the city and its fashion scene. These icons, adorned in the latest trends, symbolise the fusion of tradition and innovation that defines Adelaide's fashion landscape.

“Personalities from the sporting field, media, fashion and politics are part of the ‘Icons Only’ campaign,” says Michael. “From renowned couture designers to television and radio personalities, to CEOs and entrepreneurs, ‘Icons Only’ features a diverse range of familiar faces who represent elements of the city’s cultural landscape.”
